If you are a PAYE employee and give €250 or more to Malta Charities within the same tax year we can claim the tax you have already paid on that donation, so your donation goes even further. Donations can be in single or multiple amounts as long as the total in a year is €250 or more.
For example: If you pay tax at the standard rate of tax, a €250 donation is worth €312.50 to Malta Charities because we can reclaim €62.50 from the Revenue! If your marginal rate of tax is the higher rate, then a €250 donation is worth €431.03 to Malta Charities!
